Fira de Santa Llúcia
Fira de Santa Llúcia - 2025
Dear friends, welcome another year to the Fira de Santa Llúcia. After a whole year, it's great to meet again and enjoy the Christmas atmosphere with you. Furthermore, this year we want to go big: the Fira is debuting a massive Christmas tree over 14 meters high. It might not be the tallest in Catalonia, but it is certainly the most beautiful and offers the best setting for your photos, as you will be able to choose between the Fira de Santa Llúcia with all its Christmas lights or the façade of the Barcelona Cathedral as your backdrop.
This year the Fira starts on November 28, almost a month before Christmas, so you will have plenty of time to browse and choose from all the stalls you will find on Avinguda de la Catedral, with very wide aisles for your comfort.
As you all know is the oldest fair dedicated to Nativity scenes and Christmas traditions. This year we celebrate the 239th anniversary from the first confirmed date of the Fair of St.Llúcia, 1786.
All the artisans of the fair have been preparing a lot of new things to offer. Also, La Fira and his association have been working on activities for the children, which will be increased compared to last year both in terms of the quality of the acts and the days and schedule.
On Saturday, December 13, we will celebrate the 32th Day of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia, with various activities and performances, including the presentation of this year's honorary title of “Firaire d’Honor” to the dance school “Som-hi Dansa”.
You will find these activities in detail on this website, a place where you can find everything you need to make your visit easier and also a place where you can find more about the history of the fair, its artisans, activities, nativity scene exhibitions, photos and much more.
You Will find the Fair at Avinguda de la Catedral, Barcelona, as every year; with a total of 215 stands, it is the only fair in the world where you will find 180 stands for the sale of strictly Christmas products, such as nativity scenes and figures, moss, Christmas trees, accessories for your home and many others. You can also enjoy 35 stands dedicated to crafts and gift items, such as textile accessories, ceramics, jewelry, leather, etc.
And remember, December 25 is Christmas but if you want to start living the Christmas spirit with us, November 28 the fair of Santa Llúcia arrives and will remain open until December 23.

239th anniversary of the Fair of Santa Llúcia
This year we celebrate the 239th anniversary of the Fair of Santa Llúcia, 1786-2025; we know it is much older, but the first appointments are documented in 1786. With the motivation to improve the fair year after year, both the Association of Saint Fair and the City Council have worked together to offer you the best of all christmas fairs.
This year the fair will open its doors from November 28 until December 23. We have expanded the program of activities for you and your little ones. Confirmed activities will run from December 5 to December 20.
Note also that right next to the fair, in Plaça de Sant Jaume, on the ground floor of Barcelona City Hall, you can visit a nativity scene of more than 35 square meters, made by the Associació de Pessebristes de Barcelona, with figures of up to 40cm height. More information in the section of exhibitions of Nativity Scenes.
We hope you enjoy.
Consistency in the number of exhibitors at the fair
In the year 2023, a total of 210 stalls or exhibitors participated in the fair.
Last 2024, the fair grew in number of exhibitors. We went from 210 in 2023 to 215 in 2024.
This year we continue with the same number of exhibitors.
By sectors: you will find up to 90 stalls in the nativity scenes and figures sector, 90 in the trees, moss, and herbs sector, and 35 in the crafts and gifts sector. The Fira de Santa Llúcia continues to offer the widest range of Christmas products to be found in our land, with more than 180 stalls featuring a great variety of Christmas items.
"Diada" 2025 and awarding of this year's "Firaire d'Honor".
On Saturday, December 13, we will celebrate the 32nd Day of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia, featuring various activities and performances. Among them will be the presentation of this year's honorary title of “Firaire d’Honor” to the dance school “Som-hi Dansa”. This school offers dance classes and professional training for dancers, and is a project that has also been accompanying us in our Diada for the last few years.

32th Day of celebration of Christmas Traditions and Customs in Catalonia
HISTORY OF THE DAY OF TRADITIONS
This Day of Traditions began in 1993, with the aim of promoting popular Christmas traditions within the framework of a BICENTENNIAL fair that seeks to go beyond the simple creation of the nativity scene or home Christmas decorations. It aims to link culture and commerce in a creative way that was highly innovative for that time, 32 years ago.
At that time, it represented a real change in the way of participating in and understanding Christmas fairs and activities.
This Day of Traditions aims to educate all its visitors by showing, right on the street, our traditions surrounding the Christmas cycle, uniting culture and commerce in a positive and innovative way, just as it did in the beginning.
The tió, the nativity scene, the carassa, puppets, choirs, cava, turrón, stories—everything is a subject for narration, parades, or performances, allowing us to explore our traditional Christmas heritage in depth.
Due to its location and duration, our fair is one of the winter events with the highest participation of locals from Barcelona and Catalonia.
More than 445,000 children have "made the Tió poo" gifts since the activities began, and more than 10,000 spectators have participated in the last 31 editions of the Day of Popular Traditions.
The media gives us extensive coverage; press, radio, and television are permanently at the fair explaining what we do, sell, and/or produce.

“Christmas(es). Christian Celebrations in Barcelona”,
a program of activities by the Barcelona City Council for the Christmas season that aims to highlight the diversity of expressions and practices surrounding the holiday and the different ways of celebrating within the various forms of Christianity and the city's religious and spiritual communities.
Within this framework, on December 17 around 5:00 PM, a scenic and participatory storytelling event will take place at the Fira de Santa Llúcia. It invites the public to discover, through stories and symbols, how different cultures of the world celebrate family, community, and hope at the end of the year.
